Why You Don’t Have to Hide Your Feelings
Tears are not weakness. They are part of being human.

“When I was younger, I cried easily.
– Cecily
I cried in school, during arguments, and in moments when I most wanted to look calm.
For a long time, I felt embarrassed by that.
I thought tears made me look weak, dramatic, or less in control.
But as I got older, I began to realize that crying was never the real problem. The shame around it was.”
This personal experience became the starting point of my campaign. I wanted to understand why tears often feel so difficult to show, even when they are completely natural. Through CRYBABY, I wanted to reframe crying as something honest, human, and visible.

Why Tears Feel Embarrassing
That feeling is not rare. Many people grow up learning that tears should be hidden, especially in public. They are told to stay composed, stay strong, and not make emotion too visible. Over time, crying can start to feel like something embarrassing instead of something human. You may not only feel the emotion itself. You may also worry about how you look while feeling it.
Why Emotional Release Matters
But feelings do not disappear just because they are hidden. They stay in the body and build up over time. Crying is one natural way to release what becomes too heavy to hold inside. It does not mean you are weak. It means you felt something deeply enough that it needed a way out.
Why CRYBABY Resonates
That is what makes CRYBABY meaningful. It is not just a character that cries. It makes hidden emotion visible. It turns tears into something soft, open, and recognizable.
This campaign is built around one simple message: Feel it. Don’t hide it. Tears are not something to apologize for. They are part of how people process, release, and heal.
You are allowed to feel.
You are allowed to cry.
And you do not have to hide it.
